Daisy and Soohie fought valiantly as a two-person team, in the under 12'section. No medals but gutsy performances. Our A-band and Pre-Cadet girls team of Maddy, Poppy and Sofia had some excellent wins between them and a great spirit, to bring home bronzes. The boys team in the same category, Samuel, Luke & Dlair, gave it their best shot but couldn't win consistently enough to earn medals.
Little Peter Davies had come along hoping to jump into a team short of players and just that happened, with him joining Camberley for the day. He fought very well, albeit very light for the opposition, but the team didn't medal. Luke then also jumped into a Camberley team, but for him it was the Pre-Cadet and Cadet heavyweight team, with him still being an A-Band competitor. He fought bravely, not showing an ounce of fear and impressed all. No medal but a lot of valuable experience.
This was nekoda's first outing after last Summer's Olympic Games in Brazil and she fought up at -63kg. She beat the Mongolian athlete in her first contest and then lost to the very physical Italian, Gwend. A win in the repecharge then put Nekoda into the bronze medal match against Leski of Slovenia, which she lost, unfortunately, offering a 5th place finish. What an excellent result! The bad news was an injury to the thumb occurred, requiring surgery and another break, but this small set-back won't stop Nekoda from moving forward.
Rhys Connor and Connor Gossedge each won bronze, while Adam Burt placed 5th. Francesca Birri was unplaced. Well done all.
Our Lone Ranger, Tohgo Kimura, put in an excellent performance to win 4 tough contests, including wins against Australian and Swedish opposition. Tohgo lost two contests too and this left him in the toughest final placing, 5th.
BRONZE Sammie Grant

On day 1 Luke Davies won his first contest with a big ippon throw but lost his 2nd to a scrappy, physical fighter. This boy then lost, stopping Luke from being pulled into the Pre-Cadet -38kg
On day 2 Erik had a couple of wars at -81kg, with no result but a shed load of new and valuable experience. Connor placed 7th with some pleasing wins. Ryan won silver at -60kg in the under 21 age band.
