Nekoda had a bye in the first round, a solid win in the second against a Polish opponent. She then lost to home girl Coban by waza-ari in the third round and this put Nekoda out of the medal race.

9th & 10th March - Alicante Super Cup, Spain

On day 1 Francesca was our only cadet competitor. She didn't place, but gave it everything she had.

On day 2 our pre-cadets were on fine form with Luke winning 5 contests to take gold, Maddy winning 3/4 for an excellent silver medal and Dlair winning 5/6 contests in a massive group to take a well-earned bronze. Mounir and Peter each placed 5th, while Sophie missed out on the chance to fight for a medal.

16th & 17th March - British Schools Championships, Sheffield

Adam Burt and Connor Gossedge won bronze and silver respectively in the ar 12/13 -60kg section. Sabah Labed won her group in the Adaptive category, which was especially pleasing as it was her first ever competition. Ellis, Alex & Francesca didn't make it to medal matches, while Sofia lost for bronze after a great day of attacking judo.

This was a truly incredible experience, with an unbelievable effort from the hots, to make us feel welcome. The medals and the commemorative trophies, along with the ceremonies and all-round respect, were really special. To have been able to take 25 club members on such a massive trip was something none of us will ever forget.
